Parsons lounging by an open fire,
Parsons licking at your toes,
Outside Parsons are inside to retire,
Asleep they’ll dream of Best in Shows.
All the doggies know beef jerky and some gristlebone,
Are treats they get most every night,
Heiny shots that the vet did bestow,
Make puppies hard to sleep tonight.
They know that Santa's on his way,
He's bringing lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh,
And every Parson pup is gonna spy,
To see if Santa is a dog or a guy.
And so we’re offering this simple phrase,
To dogs from one to twenty-two,
Although it's been said many times, many ways,
Merry Chrismas to you
(and to your owners).
